missing photos, lost memories
My drive for capturing the beauty I see in my life & the lives of my clients stems from my early childhood. Due to my Amish upbringing, my parents weren’t allowed to take photos of their kids. Although I heard many stories of what those days were like, the lack of visual documentation through photos left me with a gap in understanding of younger me! I'm making up for those lost memories by preserving fleeting moments for generations to come in my own family & now I'm offering the same for you!
my path to photography as artistic expression
I’ve held many titles in my life but the one most true to my nature is “artist”. As a young girl, my art looked like doodling & coloring every chance I got. Then the preteen version of myself picked up a simple digital camera for a 4-H photography project & a few clicks later, I was hooked.
Later in my college life I found refuge in photographing the beauty in my friends & our adventures. I set out to buy my first real camera by picking up an extra job & soon I had my hands on my new camera!! A few years after college, I dabbled in selling paintings & loved the part where I'd finally get to take photos of my finished work. Now as a mom, I love to document my son's daily life with photos that'll be such a treat for him to look through when he's older. Taking photos is an art & I plan to create this way for the rest of my life!

I work out of my home base in the city of Goshen but serve clients in various counties in Northern Indiana! Although I'm not surrounded by scenic mountains or vast oceans, I still feel the midwest has so much to offer if we look for the hidden pockets of beauty!

As your photographer, I draw inspiration from my own life to better capture yours. The same joy I find in my own motherhood journey moves me to highlight the shared joy between you and your family! I zoom in on the look of admiration you give your children— how you hold and comfort them, too. I see the connection you’ve built with them and show you how beautiful that is through photographs.
